              7:47 they way Keith's wrist's are bent-that is how i tore the TFC Cartilage in both of my wrists removing a two story set of Phantom of the Opera. Had to have surgery and it didn't work; now i have to wear wrist braces when ever bearing weight.

                                                                          I've been doing crossfit for 9 months now and it's one of the best decisions I've made. Not only does it build your muscles and help you become a healthier person, but it also really builds your character. I would definitely recommend crossfit to anyone of any shape, size, or age. At my crossfit gym there are kids as young as 6 to adults in their 70s so there really is no age limit on crossfit. I hope this encourages you to try it out bc it will change your life for the better!

                                                                              You know what else is dangerous jujitsu, mountain biking, even rock climbing.. yet the comments on those videos are not filled with people discouraging it. Some people are choosing another form of fitness other then bodybuilding.. that’s alright. Let them kip in peace. And if the danger of it hurts your feelings that much, just watch people race cars on YouTube. Maybe go comment on teens learning to box for sport. Or... just go enjoy lifting with perfect form, free from injures because that’s what you personally enjoy.

                                                                              Seriously though... there is so much dangerous shit people do for fun that nobody hates on.. hate on CrossFit for being like a cult or what ever. But please think twice before hating on something because of injury risk.

                                                                              Have you ever seen a powerlifting competition??? Horrible form.. that’s ok. They are trying to lift as much as possible for a reason. Yes, they could get injured. That doesn’t stop people who enjoy what they are doing.

                                                                              Am I wrong about this or do most people stepping into a CrossFit “box” understand risk when they sign a waiver and start learning Olympic fucking lifting!? Lol

                                                                              Please tell me if what I said is bullshit, or let me know if you can possibly see CrossFit in another light..

                                                                                i know what you mean, but crossfit has a reputation for damaging joints, backs and all sorts of things that are found later. a mountain biker may fall but breaks are easier to fix than twisted and worn down joints. moutain biking is a dangerous or safe as you want it to be. crossfit is inherintly dangerous as noone uses correct form for anything. even pullups are not done properly.

I think you missed the point. I’m saying CrossFit isn’t safe, but it’s enjoyable. Just like mountain biking.

                                                                                what sam liu meant was the angle of the joint is dangerously wrong, its at the wrong angle. try it with 50kg and see if your knee joints dont get trashed. you obviously dont exercise or would know this.

                                                                                    infectionsman wow that was extremely informative, thank you so much. I’ll definitely check out those channels! My problem is (as you can probably tell) I have no clue what I am doing and I can’t afford a personal trainer and my friends don’t really work out either. So watching videos online is a really great idea, No clue why that hasn’t crossed my mind earlier ...thank you!

                                                                                    The most important lifts to train imo: Deadlift, low-bar Squat, Bench press, Overhead press. Oh and dont ever deadlift without a straight back

                                                                                    Any gym that has proper equipment will do: Squat rack/cage with safety pins, barbells, dumbbels (up to 40kg at my gym is good but not essential), adjustable benches and a platform that you can drop barbells on without destroying the floor. Watch youtube videos on correct form. Channels like Starting strenght and allan thrall are very good for this. And whatever you do dont ego lift, always lift within your ability with good form and work slowly and consistently towards your goals.
