Jocko, bro, you are a libertarian/conservative. Definitely not a liberal democrat limp wrist.

She’s the only logical minded democrat that exists today. But Dems are too ignorant to recognize logic. That’s why Trump will win again.

Joe nailed the _insult_ that have become the televised presidential debates -- a horrifying, commercialized, reality-TV-sound-bite, largely vacuous circus. I recommend to anyone who has not seen the Academy Award-winning masterpiece _Network,_ please do so.

Joe 100% wrong on 1:14. He talking ppl word for yet. Listen to professor Richard Wolff he expert in economics. I can see Joe didn't give it thought he just said that to make a point. But Mr. Wolff would prove him wrong

I'm a trump supporter ( since I'm not a communist and I actually love America). Wasn't a republican before that (except for supporting Ron Paul). Thank God the left is so insane because this woman was the only one I was concerned about.

This was nice and all, but you didn’t get her to discuss her ideals on the big issues. Where does she stand on 2nd Amendment? Also, how does she expect to pay for her “Medicare for all” plan. She comes off as middle of the road, but I’m not so sure she is.

Don't like that they are pushing this "Don't attack anyone on the left for not being progressive enough" stuff. Party unity blah blah blah. The centrists get attacked from the left because polls on the issues show that the democratic base is far to the left of the party leadership. They are being attacked for not representing their base.

The US needs to implement a get your shit under control or be conquered mentality at this point. If these leaders refuse to be diplomatic the US needs to remove them, but they don't let the country fend for themselves after. The conquering power takes it to make up for our cost. The US sets the political agenda for that country and it becomes the control of that country and that's it. If the people of that country wants to keep their country as their country they are the ones that push the change to prevent the country from falling.

As per China, please, let's get serious about it. A presidential candidate must be aware of the imminent risk China represents for the US and as a matter of fact the free world. Mrs. Gabbard seems to completely ignore it. Have anyone ever read Michael Pillsburry's "The Hundred-Year Marathon"? Or any of the books by Triplett, Timperlake and Decker? There are many other authors and books on the very same subject (e.g. "Warning Order - China Prepares for Conflict, and Why we Must do the Same"; "The Paradox of Power - Sino-American Strategic Restraint in an Age of Vulnerability".). China is fast rolling out its plan to replace America as the world's hegemon, that is to say: the only and mightiest superpower, one that no other country will be able to challenge. The catch with Huawei and the likes is much more profound and poses a much greater threat than only creating backdoors for privacy breaking. China is consistently preparing the means for a wide array of tactically conceived attacks that, make no mistake, will come as soon as the Chinese hardliners -- the ones who actually run that dictatorship -- see the most favourable strategic scenario in place. Americans are wasting precious time and resources in ill-conceived investigations, false presidential crimes, and endless discussions over round nadas while China is fast pacing its marathon. China's plan is to be the hegemon by 2049, when a hundred year period will have been elapsed since Mao's revolution. By the way, please stop ignoring that each and every so-called "company" in China is in fact a government-owned apparatus that has a precise role within China's strategic resolve. There is no actual private company in China. All Chinese companies are closely tied to the regime and are in fact run by members of the military, individuals that frequently come from the intelligence ranks. All Chinese companies pertain to government branches, usually military ones. A group of 200 families have absolute control of, for instance, arms producing and smuggling (which by design are smuggled to America's enemies in order to create additional sources of security stress as well as test American resolve), the SOEs (state-owned enterprises, the so-called "Chinese companies") and every aspect of China's businesses and government. China has been a deceitful trading "partner", a liar in multilateral relations as well as a bully state all across the South "China Sea". China runs the biggest spying programme ever that targets not only the US. China steals tech secrets and disrespects treaties and agreements. Trump, as imperfect as he may be, seems to have properly understood the nature of that game, the variables by which China is playing it out and the grave implications of inadvertently insisting with the former status quo relationship with China. Bush son, Clinton and Obama were simply reckless regarding China's -- and that is just the benign hypothesis to explain the behaviour of their respective administrations towards China. As a non-American living somewhere else I am simply astonished that I have the complete view on this pressing issue while you Americans have none. It is not even a matter of taking the red pill or other rhetoric BS, for the true is just in front of you all. Besides all books and papers by specialists and journalists... there are the facts, and they are staggering. You Americans should start giving the issue proper consideration. Ultimately, the free world depends on your taking hold of it.

There's much to appreciate in the discussion, but if, for example, Gabbard doesn't know why General Mattis wouldn't attack a stronghold of AlQaeda in Syria, then she is fundamentally ill-prepared for the fight she would have in changing American foreign policy if she were to become president.

My opinion is that in such a format, with so much to be covered in discussion, it would be unlikely for her to go into great detail in that area. I think she was just saying 'they don't know what they are doing'. As the recent revelations about our Afghan war debacle have brought to light...I think she has consistently said that we go into these wars with no clear objective. And the confusion and failure are inevitable.
